10th Leadership Principle of the Holy Spirit – TRANSMISSION

Posted by:

“He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will
take of Mine and declare it to you.”    John 16:14-15 NKJV

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant…There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit…But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”
1 Corinthians 12:1, 4 NKJV

It makes Jesus more famous every time the Holy Spirit relays information to us from Him. The Lord sums up His comments on the subject of “spiritology” here in John’s Gospel, by “boiling down” the Spirit’s job description for us.

We see how the Spirit “transmits” Jesus’ intentions to His people. Each time He does so, the Lord’s popularity increases in two worlds. Jesus gets more and more personal credit when those who follow Him do the kinds of things He Himself did through the Spirit He accomplished them with! He is honored and His name is magnified through this process in both heaven and on earth.

Like a modern “WIFI” signal, which relays information from the internet to a personal computer, the Holy Spirit distributes various kinds of signals to the “Body of Christ” from its Head or Leader. Because Jesus won a great spiritual victory over the god of this world (Satan, 2 Corinthians 4:4), “ALL” things have been placed under His control. Since it is the Holy Spirit who carries out the will of God, it is His natural inclination to now equip and inspire true believers with any resource necessary to accomplish everything Jesus wants done.

Now you know why not everything we say and do happens the way we want it to! Much of the Church’s activity is about its own purposes. The Holy Spirit is not obligated to back up anything outside of God’s will. When we are disconnected from the signals that distribute the Word and will of Jesus, and when what we do does not truly make Jesus more famous, we are on our own. Anything less than a cooperative relationship with the Holy Spirit is living under our own spiritual provenance…not exactly where we want to be found when He comes again!
