Get Saved Now

Take a minute and think about the day death comes to you. It will happen, it happens to us all. Are you ready to face it confidently and courageously before the Lord?

Be wise. Examine yourself right now, and see if you are in the faith. If you are not, then don’t leave yourself vulnerable to the ultimate of life’s terrors. Realize that if God gave you justice, you would end up in Hell for eternity. You must get serious and take an inventory of your life. Then open your heart and accept Jesus Christ as your savior. Here’s how…

First, allow the Ten Commandments to search out your secret sins (Exodus 20:1-17). Have you put God first? Have you made a god in your own image? Have you ever blasphemed His name? Or looked with unclean sexual desires? Ask God to shine a spotlight on your heart and remind you of those things that you have thought and done that He saw. Nothing is hidden from His eyes. He even sees the darkness as pure light. We only get one chance in this thing we call “life.” Don’t blow it for eternity just because you weren’t willing to look at yourself in God’s light.

Second, confess your sins to God. Name them. Be sorry for them. Plead with Him to open your understanding to the great truth that God commended his love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Jesus died for us. ASK Him to come into your heart. Give Him your heart with no reservations.

Third, make your calling and election sure (2 Peter 1:2-12). Real Christians take action. Begin to live out your faith. Get yourself a Bible, study God’s word, and do it. Always check your deeds to make sure they match your words (1 John 3:18). Christianity is not about what you know or even about what you do, it’s about who you are!

Finally, find a good church where other active believers are sincerely following the Lord. The word of God will instruct you, the Holy Spirit will guide you and other believers will help you as you grow and develop in God’s call. Be able to say with the apostle Paul, “For me to live is Christ. To die is gain.” Then your love for God will become so real, you couldn’t deny it even if you wanted to.
