GOD’S PRESCRIPTION FOR YOUR HEALING

Posted by:

“And He went about all Galilee, TEACHING in their synagogues, and PREACHING the Gospel of the kingdom, and HEALING all manner of sickness and all manner                                          of disease among the people.”        Matthew 4:23 AMP

The next step in order to overcome ill health is exercising faith after reflecting on what Jesus has said and done in the scriptures regarding this subject. It is one thing to believe God wants to heal you, and another thing to continue believing regardless of what circumstances are thrown your way.

There are many factors in life we cannot control, but there are some we definitely can. Faith is one of them. We need to get God’s Word inside our hearts until it begins to flow back out!

If you are sick you simply need to listen to God until you begin to think like Him! Often, however, we are so shallow in spiritual issues we have little or no power over the works of the devil. It will help us to look at our text for today and remember how Jesus conducted His ministry.

Notice that He usually proclaimed Healing before performing it. According to this verse, it seems He did at least twice as much speaking as He did healing! It follows that we will have to do at least twice as much listening to, agreeing with and reiterating those same declarations to encourage belief.

Several people who were healed during Jesus’ ministry were helped as a direct result of their own faith. Since the Bible tells us that faith comes by repeatedly hearing God’s Word (Romans 10:17), we need to stay in a listening position if we are serious about receiving healing. Notice Luke 5:15. “…and great crowds kept coming together to hear Him and to be healed by Him of their infirmities.”

It seems many Christians today would rather be sick than have to ‘keep coming’ to the Lord or to services designed to fill them with the faith they need to be healed! If you are serious about healing you have to be serious about listening to what Jesus has already said about it…this is the same prescription necessary for being found well and able at His return.
